Tom Farmer is an award-winning total rewards consultant and educator based in Singapore. With over 30 years of experience in compensation and benefits and global mobility, Tom has helped over 150 organizations improve their ability to attract, retain, motivate and move talent across borders. Tom’s clients have included some of the world’s largest companies: The Coca-Cola Company, Marriott International, AIA, Toyota Tsusho, Panasonic, Verizon, Walmart and Sinopec. Tom has also completed projects with several well-known employers in Singapore and Southeast Asia, such as PTT Group, CrimsonLogic, HSH Group (Peninsula Hotels), Tai Sin Electric, Great Eastern Life and Singapore Tourism Board.

 

A U.S. citizen, Tom has worked in Singapore since 2007. Tom earned a Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Management major at Eastern Michigan University, where he was honored as Outstanding Management Student. He has been interviewed for television and quoted on reward topics by The Wall Street Journal, CNN, The Washington Post, Business Week and ABS-CBN in Manila, Philippines. Tom serves as a WorldatWork certification faculty member and article reviewer. He is Program Director for The Conference Board’s APAC Total Rewards Council and is co-founder of the ASEAN Total Rewards Institute, offering regional rewards certification and training.
